　仕事に支障を来す腰痛の関連要因を横断データを用いて検討した．対象者数は9,307名であった．調査時の過去1カ月間におけるdisabilityの強い(仕事への支障度が強い)腰痛の有無を従属変数とし，関連要因を検討した．「睡眠時間」や「家族歴」などと強い関連を示したが，最も関連が強かった要因は，人間工学的要因の「前屈み・中腰姿勢の作業に4時間以上従事していること」(調整オッズ比：3.84，95％ CI：2.92－5.05)であった．強い関連要因を明らかにするため，引き続きコホート研究を遂行中である．

　The purpose of this study was to identify factors associated with low back pain resulting in disability based on cross-sectional survey data from 9,307 workers.　We assessed relationships between low back pain resulting in disability in the previous one month (dependent variable) and potential associated factors.　One of the physical factors, “working four hours or more a day in either a half-crouching position or slouching posture”, was the factor that was most strongly associated with the dependent variable (adjusted OR：3.84, 95% CI：2.92―5.05).　Further investigation is necessary to identify factors that are strongly associated with the occurrence of low back pain resulting in disability.　A prospective cohort study is currently under way.
