　近年，虚血性心疾患の左室機能の評価手段として運動負荷試験，RI法，心エコー図などの非観血的方法が重要な役割を果たすようになっているが，これらの方法の比較の標準として，またもっとも信頼できる最終的な観血的評価法として左室造影法が重要な位置を占めている。虚血性心疾患の左室機能の特徴はその局所壁運動異常にあるが，左室造影でその程度を判定する場合，視覚的，定性的に評価することが多い。このような左室局所壁運動をより客観的にかつ定量的に解析することが治療，予後の決定上必要となってきており，またいくつかの試みもなされている。我々も電算機を利用し左室造影による局所壁運動の定量化を試みているが^1），今回これらの方法の問題点，正常の左室局所壁運動様式，異常壁運動の評価法について検討した。

A method of computer-aided analysis of left ven-tricular (LV) regional wall motion was described. The LV contour of cineangiography in the 30° right anterior oblique projection (RAO) were traced frame-by-frame during cardiac cycle. We have chosen the geometric center of the gravity of the enddiastolic frame as the fixed reference point. Starting at the midpoint of aortic valve, We measured the radial length at 100 increments from the reference point to their intersection with the internal border of the left ventricle, and calculated regional percent shortening.
