要旨　症例は37歳，女性．気管支喘息様症状にて当院に転院となった．転院時の検査で，気管を圧排，狭窄する縦隔内甲状腺腫を認めた．準緊急的手術にて腫瘍を摘出し，気管狭窄症状は消失した．術後MRSA縦隔炎を発症したが，ドレナージおよび抗生物質投与にて改善した．縦隔内甲状腺腫は比較的稀な疾患であり，臨床経過としても興味深かったため，文献的考察を加えて報告した．

　A 37-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital with cough and dyspnea. Chest computed tomography(CT)revealed a heterogeneous anterior mediastinal mass connected to the right lobe of the thyroid. The tumor compressed the trachea, causing asthma-like symptoms including cough, wheezing and dyspnea. We decided to conduct an emergency operation, then resected the tumor safely through cervical collar incision and median sternotomy. The pathological diagnosis was an adenomatous goiter. The chest symptoms disappeared after the operation, leading to the improvement of her quality of life.
