要旨●病理診断は，消化管病変の診療において重要な役割を果たしている．診療録の一部をなす病理診断報告書は，当該病変診療に欠かせない病理学的情報を網羅し，その記載内容は簡潔かつ明瞭であることが望ましい．質の高い病理診断を遂行・継続するためには挫滅の少ない組織検体と的確な臨床情報はもちろん，臨床医と病理医との連携と意思疎通が不可欠である．

　Pathological diagnosis plays a crucial role in the medical treatment for gastrointestinal diseases, and as a medical record, it should include concise items of information that are critical for coping with gastrointestinal diseases. We conclude that not only uncrushed tissue but also adequate clinical information is essential for maintaining the quality of pathological diagnosis. Furthermore, close cooperation and communication between clinicians and pathologists are necessary for patient-oriented diagnostic pathology.
