 We analysed the diagnosing process of nurse students by using student's reports. The findings are as follows. Student's diagnoses are mainly in exchanging, moving, feeling patterns. Eighty percent of diagnoses are derived from one or two defining characteristics. Student's defining characteristics used in diagnosing precess are insufficient and derived from subjective informations.
