要旨●早期胃癌のスクリーニングにおいて，X線検査は外来診療でのスクリーニング目的ではほとんど用いられなくなっているものの，時間や処理件数などの効率性を考慮しなければならない検診の場においては，その果たす役割はいまだに重要である．本稿では日本消化器がん検診学会より発行されている「新・胃X線撮影法ガイドライン改訂版2011年」に示されている基準撮影法に準じた撮影法のコツとピットフォールについて概説を行った．基準撮影法に準じて行うことで一定の均霑化と画像の質は確保できるものの，胃型や病変の肉眼型，発生部位によりピットフォールが生じることが少なくなく，それらを熟知したうえで適切な撮影や追加撮影を行う必要がある．
Recently, X-ray radiography has been less employed for screening purposes of early gastric cancer in outpatient settings. However, the technique still plays a crucial role in the field of health checkup, where processing time and number are a priority.
In this report, we provided an overview of radiographic technique, including tips and common pitfalls, according to the New Guideline for Gastric Radiography（The Japanese Society of Gastrointestinal Cancer Screening, 2011 edition）.
The technical standard described in the guideline yields a certain level of an equal basis and quality of an image. Importantly, we must avoid various pitfalls depending on the form of gastric cancer, result of Borrmann classification, and site of lesion formation.
Therefore, optimal and additional photographs should be taken considering these potential issues.
