次世代シークエンサー（NGS）を用いた筋疾患診断

Frontiers of Muscle Science. Diagnosis for skeletal muscle disorders using next-generation sequencing.

　次世代シークエンサー（NGS）の普及により，短時間で比較的安価に，大量の塩基配列情報が得られるようになった。最近では，臨床現場でも，NGSを使った遺伝子解析をもとに，診断を行うことが多くなってきている。本稿では，筋ジストロフィーや先天性ミオパチーなど，単一遺伝子の変異によって病気を引き起こす筋疾患の，NGSを用いた診断について解説する。

　Next-generation sequencing technologies have been widely used to obtain massive sequence data as a time and cost effective method. They have also been used for the diagnosis of the genetic disorders including skeletal muscle disorders, such as muscular dystrophies and congenital myopathies. This short review introduces some of their applications in the clinical settings.
