各論④ 頬部の同じ場所に発生した良性と悪性腫瘍の2例

Benign and Malignant Tumors That Arose in the Same Buccal Area: Two Cases

はじめに

　形成外科の日常診療において，頬部の皮下腫瘤は比較的ありふれたものである。表面の性状や触診で容易に診断に至るものもあれば，エコー・CT・MRIなどの画像検査や，生検による病理検査をしてもなかなか診断に苦慮するものもある。今回われわれは頬部の同部位に比較的大きな腫瘤を呈し，それぞれに診断とそれらに即した治療を行った症例を経験したので報告する。

　Subcutaneous masses in the buccal region are a common occurrence in the daily practice of plastic surgery. In this report we present the case of a tumor that was easy to diagnose clinically and a case that was not diagnosed until biopsy results were obtained; the two cases arose in the same buccal area and were pathologically diagnosed as an epidermal cyst and Merkel cell carcinoma, respectively. Plastic surgeons need to be familiar with the treatment of these infrequent tumors and their subsequent post-treatment course.
