術後再発を繰り返すエナメル上皮腫に対して放射線治療が奏効した1例

Successful radiation therapy for ameloblastoma with repeated postoperative recurrence：a case report

エナメル上皮腫（ameloblastoma）の診療ガイドラインによると，エナメル上皮腫に対しての標準治療は手術であり，放射線治療は補助療法として位置づけられている。しかしながら，術後再発症例に対しての治療法についてはエビデンスが確立されていないのが現状である^1）。

A man in his 70s with a history of multiple surgical resections for ameloblastoma had a local reccurence again. According to the clinical practice guidelines for ameloblastoma, surgery is the standard treatment for ameloblastoma, and radiation therapy is positioned only as adjuvant therapy. The tumor was considered to be unresectable, therefore, we performed intensity modulated radiation therapy with radical intent. Local control has been achieved for 5 years after treatment. Radiation therapy may be one of option for radical therapy for ameloblastoma in inoperable cases.
