Classic signs of brain infarction and hemorrhage

画像診断において，疾患や病態に特徴的なサインは診断の一助となり有用である。中枢神経領域においては古くから様々なサインが報告されているが，本稿では臨床的に遭遇する頻度の高い脳梗塞・脳出血に関するサインについて概説する。

We reviewed classic signs of brain infarction and hemorrhage. Knowledge of these signs will enable the radiologist to not only diagnose promptly but decide appropriate treatment strategy. Some signs of infarction play an important role in treatment selection such as intravenous thrombolysis. Some signs of hemorrhage predict its increase and unfavorable outcome.
