Three cases of genitourinary tuberculosis

腎尿路結核は肺外結核のなかでまれな部位である。腎尿路結核は症状が非特異的なため診断が遅れ，無機能腎となることがしばしばみられる。このため腎尿路結核の画像所見を熟知し，早期に診断し治療を行うことは重要である。

The genitourinary tract is rare site of extrapulmonary tuberculosis in Japan. Genitourinary tuberculosis（GUTB）has no specific symptoms, often resulting in delayed diagnosis and rapid progression to kidney failure. CT findings in GUTB include irregular caliectasis without associated pelvic dilatation. Parenchymal scarring, urothelial thickening, and ureteral strictures are often seen. In our cases, diffuse thickening of the renal pelvis and ureter was a characteristic finding that may be useful in making an early diagnosis of GUTB.
