外出に支援を要する脳卒中者が電動車いすの利用に至るプロセス—TEAによる分析から

Utilization of powered wheelchairs by stroke survivors requiring assistance with going out:Analysis of TEA

要旨：本研究の目的は，介護保険受給者が電動車いすの利用に至るプロセスを明らかにすることである．4名の対象者にインタビューを実施し，複線径路等至性アプローチを用いて分析した．結果，分岐点を経て，「これからも家族や社会とつながるための手段として電動車いすを利用する」という等至点に至った．そのプロセスで，“電動車いすを使うと歩けなくなる”という価値・信念が，“電動車いすは便利な道具”に変容した．周囲の電動車いす利用者からの情報は，さまざまな時期で対象者の電動車いすの利用を後押ししていた．本研究の結果から，他の電動車いす利用者からの情報提供など時期にあった支援を行うことの重要性が示された．

　This study clarified the process leading to the use of powered wheelchair (PWC) by long-term care insurance recipients. Four subjects were interviewed, and the Trajectory Equifinality Approach was used to analyze the results which indicate that after going through the Bifurcation Point, they reached the Equifinality Point where they continued to use PWC as a means to connect with their families and society. Through this process, the belief that “PWC makes it impossible for me to walk” has evolved to “PWC is a convenient tool.” Information from other PWC users encouraged the subject's use of PWC at various times. The results of this study showed the importance of providing timely support, such as information from other PWC users.
