It is not often therapeutic to have a close relationship with an adolescent patient who has a weak ego or has a complicated, delicate problems. In the treatment for such a patient, it will bring a favorable result by not invading his/her psychopathological problem directly ; to comprehend his/her speech and action as a coping behavior which is a self healing effort; to satisfy a need for activity ; to secure a moratorium time and place to return life. These treatment structures protect a weak ego, and promote a process of self healing, such as reality-testing and recovery of self-confidence. One Giles de la Tourette patient in conflict with a coprolalia recovered and returned to real social life again. I state the therapeutic significance of 'non-invasion' which involves a process of self healing.
