Steindler's elbow flexor plasty and it's modifications are one of the most beneficial reconstructions of the paralytic limb after brachial plexus injury. These methods are composed of the proximal shifting of the muscle origin from the medial epicondyle of the humerus. We emphasize the importance of training the wrist extensor muscle which is antagonist to the transfer muscles following Steindler's elbow flexor plasty. We report two cases of successful elbow flexion who could lift a 5 kg container with both hands after a modified Steindler's elbow flexor plasty.
