To clarify the effects of home-visit rehabilitation services expected by long-term care-support specialists (i.e. care managers) and home helpers, we conducted a survey. At least half of the respondents expected the following from home-visit rehabilitation services: ‘recovery of physical functions', ‘improved ease of movement (daily routine activities)', ‘maintenance of current condition', and ‘improvement in everyday actions (self-care)'. Although more than 80 percent of care managers stated that these expectations were being met, less than 60 percent of caregivers answered likewise. Requests regarding home-visit rehabilitation services were focused on the following themes: ‘therapists' assistance and content of services';‘understanding of rehabilitation content and progress status';‘collaboration, instruction, and consultation';‘system and human resources'; and ‘others'.
