精神科救急病棟における統合失調症患者への個人作業療法実施が精神症状に及ぼす影響

Effect of individual occupational therapy on mental symptoms of patients with schizophrenia at a psychiatric emergency ward

要旨：精神科救急病棟に入院している統合失調症患者を対象に，個人作業療法が精神症状に及ぼす影響を調査した．入院時・作業療法開始時・退院時の各評価時期にBPRSを用いて精神症状を評価した．さらに個人作業療法の実施の有無で対象者を2群に分け，評価時期と個人作業療法実施の有無の主効果を分析した．その結果，陰性症状得点・心気症状得点においては，個人作業療法の有無で主効果が認められた．したがって，個人作業療法の実施は陰性症状および心気症状の改善に影響を及ぼしている可能性が示唆された．

　This study investigated the influence of individual occupational therapy on the mental symptoms of schizophrenic patients admitted to a psychiatric emergency ward.

　We evaluated patients' mental symptoms three times using the brief psychiatric rating scale: at admittance to the hospital, at the start of occupational therapy and at discharge.

　Furthermore, we divided the target population into two groups based on whether or not they received individual occupational therapy. We then analyzed the main effects according to evaluation time and receipt of individual occupational therapy.

　Results indicated that negative and mood symptoms were most affected by engaging in individual occupational therapy.

　Therefore, individual occupational therapy may influence the improvement of both negative and mood symptoms in schizophrenic patients.
