Initiatives for standardized care in Intensive Care Units

本コラムでは，「重症患者がいつでも，どこでも，誰でも，科学的根拠と患者の価値観・状況に基づいた，質の高い医療が受けられる状態」＝「集中治療の標準化」を集中治療のビジョン（あるべき姿）として掲げ，このビジョンを実現するための試みとして，Donabedianモデルに基づく集中治療の質の評価，具体的な標準化への取り組みについて概説する。

In this column, we discuss “standardized care in intensive care units” to achieve an intensive care system that allows every patient to receive high quality medical care anywhere and anytime. In order to achieve this goal, we outline the assessment of quality of healthcare based on Donabedian's model and effective strategies for the standardization of intensive care.
