 An instrument simple and stable for measuring electrical resistance of superfine microelectrode was designed with the wiring shown in fig. 1. The resistance is measured by connecting an electrode as the fourth arm of a Wheatstone bridge which works by an alternating current synchronous with B-supply of 12AU7 . Wave forms of potentials and currents at various points in the wiring at an unbalanced state of the bridge are shown in fig. 2. With the bridge in balance, the resistance of the microelectrode (Re) is given by Re=R1×VR1b/R2=10000×VR1bwhere VR1b is the value of VR1 at the condition (see fig.1).
