「看護研究」発刊によせて—全世界の人々に貢献を

　医学書院が創刊される新雑誌「看護研究」が，日本のナースの皆さんが，その必要性を痛感されている情報交換の場としての役割を果たされるよう心からお祈りいたします。

　世界各国の看護界は，現在，疾病と傷害を予防し，一方患者が必要とする場合にはいつでもりっぱな看護を受けることができるようにするために「看護サービスを改善する」という大きな問題に直面しています。一方アメリカでも「情報のギャップ」とよばれるものがほとんどあらゆる場合に存在し，保健業務に従事する者，あるいは保健サービス機構を立案する管理職員が直面している，この大問題を解決するために必要な新しい知識を伝達することを妨げています。
