Dispersion of pollens in Hodogaya district of Yokohama city was studied from Jan. to Dec. 1977 according to Durham's sampling.

Pollen seasons can be devided into 3 : 1) Tree season, mainly of Japanese cedar and pine, 2) grass season and 3) ragweed season, mainly of hogweed.

Among which cedar pollen is the most important pathogene in allergic rhinitis in this area, because the pollens disperse in the higher concentration than 40/cm2 from the end of Feb. to the begining of April.

Pollen map is to be made yearly in this country, in order to establish the more perfect diagnosis and treatment for pollenosis.
