耳管機能測定法に関する一考察

EVALUATION OF MILLER'S EUSTACHIAN TUBE FUNCTION TEST

　Ⅰ．緒言

　耳管疾患およびそれによつて惹起された病変は依然として耳科領域では難治であり，臨床医に常に問題を投げかけている。従来より耳管通気度検査として行なわれてきた耳管カテーテル法やポリツェル球による法と多少原理を異にした検査法が注目されてきた。

　Miller^1）2）は人為的ないし病的穿孔鼓膜において外耳道と中耳腔に一定の陽・陰圧を加え，被検者に頻回の嚥下をさせて，中耳腔の圧が耳管を通して大気圧と均衡化する状態を記録し，耳管機能測定の定量化を試みた。Millerの装置はBortnick^3）が簡単化した。われわれは今回各種疾患における耳管機能をBortnickの装置に基づいて試み，その測定に関する第1報を行ないたい。

　A new custachian tube function test, as reported by Miller, was applied to patients with otitis media, secretory otitis and eustachian tube blockage due to epipharyngual tumor. Four control cases and one case of patent eustachian tube were, also, included among them. The authors concluded that this test is a reliable method by which to quantitate the custrachian tube function of perforated ear drums.
