血管収縮剤トークの鼻閉に対する効果

　Ⅰ．まえがき

　鼻呼吸障害は多くの鼻疾患において主症状となつており，その原因は多種多様で，鼻科医にとつて厄介な症状の一つである。原因がはつきりしているものでは，原因を除去することにより，鼻呼吸障害も改善される筈であるが，その手術的あるいは保存的療法にも抗する場合があり，更には原因療法が不可能な場合や，あるいは原因療法がとくに困難であるような疾患，例えばいわゆる慢性鼻炎，ある種の血管運動性鼻炎などに対しては，いきおい簡単に使用でき，習慣性のない，効果持続時間の長い粘膜充血治療剤が必要とされてくる。

　このたび田辺製薬より血管収縮剤トーク（K. B.-227）の提供をうけ，鼻疾患による鼻閉に対する効果を検討したので，その結果を報告する。

　The effect of Tohku, a nasal spray, for attaining relief of nasal obstruction was tested. Following the application of this agent the nasal passage was freed for breathing in an optimum condition in about 10 to 15 minutes and such a state was maintained without a change for the ensuing period of 1 hour. Thereafter the effect of the drug was lost in a descending gradation. However, it was shown that, still, at the end of the period of 8 hours, the drug effect was present to a certain extent.
