左側頸部蜂窠織炎及び左側四肢運動麻痺を併発した鼻性髄膜炎について（附 C-反応性蛋白試験による観察）

　Ⅰ．緒言

　鼻性化膿性髄膜炎は，従来は極めて予後の不良なもので，本杉氏の報告によれば昭和23年以前は約80％以上の死亡率のあつたものであるが，最近抗生物質の目覚しい発達に伴う技術の向上により小川，川久保，三辺，柏戸，増田，真鍋，赤井，福田，本杉等諸氏の治験例も報告されているようにその予後も良好となつてきた。此の度，私は妊娠中の婦人が慢性副鼻腔炎の急性増悪から化膿性髄膜炎及び左側頸部蜂窠織炎を併発し，意識不明，左側四肢運動麻痺を生じた症例に遭遇し，幸にも治癒せしめ得たので茲に報告する次第である。

　A woman, aged 25, who was 8 months pregnant, became involved with an acute exacerbation of chronic sinusitis devloping into cerebrospinal meningitis and acute cellulitis of the left side of the neck and caused motor paralysis of the extremities and finally the loss of consciousness;the intrauterine fetus was prematurely expelled at the 8 th month of gestation. With treatments both, the mother and the child was recovered.
