急性発症し脳ヘルニアを来した異型髄膜腫の1例

A Case of Atypical Meningioma Associated with Acute Deterioration and Cerebral Herniation

Ⅰ．はじめに

　脳腫瘍は，一般に徐々に進行する神経脱落症状または頭蓋内圧亢進症状で発症することが多い^9）．今回われわれは，急性に頭痛・発熱にて発症し脳ヘルニアを来した異型髄膜腫の1例を経験した．症例を報告し，画像所見および手術所見などから急性発症の病態を考察する．

Brain tumors not uncommonly display a chronic course, with symptoms occurring insidiously. This case report de-scribes a meningioma patient who presented sudden onset and rapidly progressing symptoms. She was 49 years old, a referred case from a nearby hospital, with severe headache and fever. This was also accompanied by unconscious-ness and left hemiparesis which necessitated emergency brain CT and MRI scanning. A right temporal 5cm ring en-hancing lesion with massive surrounding edema was revealed.
