  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

Arteriovenous malformation (AVM) of the cervicalspinal cord has been known to constitute 5-13% ofall spinal AVMs. In contrast to the AVMs locatedin thoracic or thoraco-lumbar regions, cervical AVMhas several characteristic features such as preponderan-ce in younger generation, high incidence of subarach-noid hemorrhage, intramedullary location of the nidususually fed by the anterior spinal arterial system.

We reported three cases of cervical AVMs, whichlocated intramedullary at the levels of C4-C6, C1-C4and C1-C2, respectively.
