I．はじめに

　脊髄神経鞘腫は良性の腫瘍であり，適切な診断と治療により全治せしめることができる．諸外国と異なり，わが国では従来，脊髄疾患は整形外科において取り扱われる傾向があり，本疾患に関する脳神経外科的文献に乏しい．本稿では22例の自験例を検討するとともに，近年CT metrizamide myelographyおよびCO₂レーザー装置の出現により，本疾患の診断と治療に新しい展開がみられていることを強調したい．

Twenty-two spinal neurinomas, admitted to the Depart-ment of Neurosurgery, Kyoto University Medical Schoolduring the past 40 years, were retrospectively analysed underthe circumstances that most of lower spinal and or spinal cordtumors had usually been handled by orthopedic surgeonsin Japan. Of the total of 22 cases, there were 14 cervical,6 thoracic and 2 lumbar neurinomas. Age distributionwas from 16 to 70 years of age with the average 38. VonRecklinghausen's disease accompanied spinal neurinomain 4 cases. Of 3 cases under the age of 20, two were associat-ed with von Recklinghausen's disease.
