A Case of Parasellar Epidermoid Tumor in a Child

I．はじめに

　頭蓋内類上皮腫は先天性腫瘍であるにもかかわらず，発症年齢は青年期以降が圧倒的に多く，小児期に発症することは比較的少ない．最近，私どもは腫瘍による閉塞性水頭症にて発症した傍トルコ鞍部から上方に延びる類上皮腫の幼児例を経験したので，若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する．

Although the epidermoid tumors are considered ascongenital tumors, the onset of symptoms and signsappearcomparatively in later life, since they are usuallyvery slowgrowing. There is very low incidence in fancy andchild-hood. A case of parasellar epidermoid tumor in a4-year-old girl was presented. The patient experiencedvomitingand abdominal pain three weeks previously. Two daysperior to admission, the patient's mother notedinternalsquint. A ophthalmologist was consulted who foundevidence of a left abducens palsy associated withbilateralpapilledema.
