Nocardia脳膿瘍の1例

Nocardia Brain Abscess:A case report

I．はじめに

　Nocardiaは放線菌類に属し，1888年Nocard^15）によって分離命名された．もともと弱毒性であり，ヒトの感染症としては，1890年Eppinger^3）がはじめて脳膿瘍から起因菌として同定報告して以来，1976年までに約150例の報告をみるにすぎない．

　しかし近年ステロイド剤の多用や，腎移植などに伴う免疫抑制剤，更には癌末期の症例などに"日和見感染"としてのNocardia感染症が増加する傾向にある．

A 42 years old woman was noticed to have an abnormalshadow in the left lower field of lung at the time ofperiodicalchest radiographic examination in July 1979. Shedidn'tshow any signs or symptoms of inflammation such asfever,increased rate of blood sedimentation, leukocytosisand soon by that time.

Four weeks prior to admission she started tocomplain ofmild but continuous headache and then developedanorexia,dysarthria and weakness in the right half of theface. Shewas admitted to the Kyoto University Hospital onSeptem-ber 14, 1979.
