I．はじめに

　横紋筋肉腫は小児期および思春期に好発する極めて悪性の腫瘍であり，その好発部位は頭頸部，泌尿生殖器，四肢等があげられている．しかし，脳神経外科医にとって頭頸部に原発して頭蓋内に浸潤増大する続発性腫瘍と頭蓋内に原発する横紋筋肉腫は，その稀なゆえにあまり知られていない，また，病理学的にもなお議論を要する腫瘍の1つである．最近，われわれは頭蓋内原発の横紋筋肉腫の1例を経験したので，その臨床経過ならびに電子顕微鏡を用いて，その細胞発生面について検討したので報告する．

A primary cerebral rhabdomyosarcoma is reported in a 51-year-old female. She noticed progressive weakness of the left leg in September 1977 and underwent craniotomy for a brain tumor in Tokyo Metropolitan Okubo General Hospital. At the operation the tumor was located on the medial aspect of the right frontal lobe, being attached to the falx. The tumor was 6.0×5.0×4.0cm in size and subtotally removed. Shortly after operation, she developed a left-sided hemiplegia and was referred to our Kanagawa Rehabilitation Center. During rehabilitation she developed disturbance in recent memory, orientation and speaking.
