Abstract

130 right-handed aphasic patients (90 males & 40 females with mean age of 60.2 years) with cerebral infarction were evaluated with regard to computertomographically verified localization of cerebral lesion (s) in correlation with typology of aphasic syndromes. (1) Clinical significance of aphasic syndromes confirmed in cases with multi-ple lesions (68 cases=52.3%) as well as of non-negligible number of those with predominantly subcortical lesion (s) (27 cases=20.8%) was un-derlined.
