Abstract

 The relationship between the low dose irradiation to the brain and the aging of the brain was investigated using approximately 104 LAF male mice. The X-rays used were 230 kv, and the whole brain was exposed singly to 500, 1,000, 1,300, 1,750, 2,000, and 2,500 rads. The tissue was fixed by Bouin's solution or Tellysniczky's solution, and was serially cut at 6~10 micron thickness.

 The deposits which were heavily stained withperiodic acid Schiff's solution were observed in the serial study of brain sections.
