In recent years, many biological studies have been made about the establishment of the pathogenesis of schizophrenia, and many attractive hypotheses of neurochemical, neuroanatomical, neuroendocrinological and neurophysiological changes in brain were presented. And, indeed, as will be mentioned below, an abnormal neurotransmission, dopaminergic hyperactivity theory is the most testable hypothesis in all of these hypotheses.
