ビリルビン代謝異常と神経障害

Metabolic Disorders of Bilirubin Encephalopathy

はじめに

　核黄疸（Kernicterus），ビリルビン脳傷害（Bilirubinencephalopathy），黄疸性脳傷害（Icteric encephalopathy）などの病名で呼ばれるビリルビン代謝異常に随伴する神経障害は，新生児期に限つて見られる疾患であり，しかも高間接ビリルビン血症だけに伴う異常である。

　したがつて，ビリルビン脳傷害の原因的因子や成因，症状などを述べる前に，新生児のビリルビン代謝一般について概説する必要がある。

In this paper, recent advances in clinical, pathophysiological and biochemical studiesrelated to biliruhin encephalopathy are brieflysummarized, includingly observations andexperiments of the author.
