  • Look Inside

In this study, we attempted to classify thevarious disorders of the central rervcus system appling the evoked E. M. C. which havebeen studied by Magladery and others basingon the Hoffmann's study about monosynapticreflex. The indicatcr is the smplitude of H-wave which is evoked on the gastrocnemiusmuscle by stimulation on the afferent nervefibers contained in the tibial rerve.

We applied the double volley method, therepetitive volley method and our own methodwhich is recorded with Jendrassik's Maneuver. Under this method, we can classify thecentral nervous disorders into several groups, which represent charactristic patterns, especially in the disturbances of so called brainstem, which contains diercephalor, midbrain, pons and medulla. As the result of this study, we hypothesized that endrassik's Maneuverhas some furctional connection to the ascending reticular activating system.
