脳腫瘍血管の超微細構造と血液脳関門に関する研究—第2報 実験脳腫瘍から

A study of capillary ultrastructure of brain tumors in association with blood-brain barrier. Part Ⅱ: Experimental mouse brain tumor

I．はじめに

　前号，第1報において，ヒト脳腫瘍の血管微細構造を検索し，glial tumorとnon-glial tumorにおいて，血管の基本構造が異なっていることを述べた。capillaryにfenestrationやendothelial junctionの離開が見られないglial tumorにおいて，その血液脳関門（以下BBBと略す）について検討するため，Rous Sarcoma Virusによりマウス（C₃H系）に原発性脳腫瘍を作成し，TracerとしてThorotrastおよびHorseradish peroxidaseを投与し，以下の実験を行なった。

　The vascular permeability of experimental mouse brain tumors induced by Rous sarcoma virus was investigated, using tracers such as thorotrast and horseradish peroxidase. Those mouse brain tumors consisted of huge round and spindle-shaped cells, and were similar to human glioma under electron-microscopy or in enzymatic study.

　In their capillaries were observed surface irregularities, increase of pinocytosis and hypertrophy of endothelial cells, but no fenestration or opening of endothelial junctions, as in human glioma.
