  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

An attention was drawn to the existence, if any, of the specific EEG abnormalities in cases of head injury in children. The survey was done on the EEG findings (positive spikes) of 315 cases of head injury. They were all under the age of 15 years old and were seen from 1965 to 1969. The EEGs were compared with those of 249 cases of primary school children as a control study.

The result was as follows: 1) Positive spikes were seen in 31% of the head injury group, but no direct relation was found between this EEG pattern and clinical symptoms or signs.
