泌尿器科受診患者における腹部臓器の超音波スクリーニングの意義

ULTRASONIC SCREENING OF THE ABDOMINAL ORGANS IN UROLOGY

　泌尿器科で腹部超音波検査を行う際に，尿路・男性性器のみならず広く腹部全般をスクリーニングした．22.4％で尿路・男性性器以外に所見を認め，2.4％で放置すると重症になりうる重大な疾患を発見した．以上から泌尿器科において腹部超音波検査を行う際，尿路・男性性器のみならず広く腹部全般をスクリーニングすることは有意義と思われる．

We performed ultrasonic screening of the abdomen in 832 patients who were seen to urology. In 22.4 % of patients, abnormal findings of the abdominal organs except genitourinary system were observed. In 2.4 % of patients, serious diseases such as liver cancer, liver cirrhosis, aneurysm of abdominal aorta were found. We believe that ultrasonic screening of the whole abdomen at the time of ultrasonic examination of the genitourinary system is of great significance.
