  • Look Inside

A case of fatty acid bladder stones was reported. A 61-year-old Korean woman who had been followed -up after radical hysterectomy for uterine cervical cancer underwent pelvic CT-scan with intravesical instillation of olive oil as a contrast medium. She was referred to our clinic for recurrent cystitis and diagnosed as bladder stones. The stones were consisted of calcium phosphate and stearin calcium which was one of constituents of olive oil. Close anamnesis revealed that she had excreted oil in urine on every micturition for 6 months after CT-scan.
