5-fluorouracil持続動注と放射線照射後に腎摘を行ない得た腎細胞癌の1例

NEPHRECTOMY FOR RENAL CARCINOMA AFTER 5-FLUOROURACIL INTRA-ARTERIAL PERFUSION AND RADIOTHERAPY: REPORT OF A CASE

緒言

　腎細胞癌は，その解剖学的および生物学的特性から種々の治療法が試みられているが，今のところ手術的摘除にまさる有力な方法がないのが現状である。しかし，いつもただちに摘除が可能であるとは限らない。われわれは5-fluorouracil（5-FU）の腎動脈内持続注入および放射線照射後5年目に腎摘を行ない得た症例を経験したので報告する。

A 60-year-old housewife was admitted to Niigata University Hospital in June 1975 with a diagnosis of right renal carcinoma, and she was at first treated with 5-fluorouracil intra-arterial continuous per-fusion (500mg per day, 30 days) and simultaneous irradiation (150 rads per day, total 3600 rads). One month after these treatments, nephrectomy was attempted but the tumor was unresectable. While she was taking medroxyprogesterone acetate and futraful (FT-207) intermittently for 5 years as a outpatient, the size of the tumor regressed markedly. Radiological examination showed kidney was atrophic with little evidence of the tumor.
