緒言

　腎静脈分岐部より末梢側の下大静脈の発生は複雑であるにもかかわらず，臨床的にこの奇形を経験することは稀である。最近われわれはIVPにて偶然発見された腎腫瘍（Grawitz）患者について下大静脈撮影を行なつたところ腹部大動脈の左側に腹部大静脈の位置する，いわゆる左下大静脈であることを発見し，手術的にこれを確認し得たので本奇形につき多少の発生学的考察を加えてここに報告する。なおこの症例は前立腺肥大症にて尿閉となり入院した患者である。

A left renal tumor was discovered accidentally by IVP in a 61 year old male with benign prostatic hyperplasia complaining acute urinary retention and left inferior vena cava was also discovered by inferior venacavogram. Left inferior vena cava was confirmed during transperitoneal left nephrectomy and 2 left renal veins, the left adrenal vein and left spermatic vein not draining in these renal veins and also the inferior venacava returning to its normal position, passing the anterior side of abdominal aorta after merging with the left renal vein were also confirmed.
