停留睾丸の統計的観察

STATISTICAL OBSERVATIONS OF RETENTIO TESTIS

はじめに

　停留睾丸は睾丸下降がなんらかの原因で障害され睾丸下降路の途中で停止した状態を言い，男子性器に見られる先天性奇形の中でもつともしばしば遭遇する疾患である。本症は1786年John Hun-ter^1）によりはじめて記載されたといわれており，以来数多くの報告がなされて来た。私達も昭和34年4月より昭和46年12月までの12年8ヵ月の間に267例の停留睾丸患者を経験しているので，これら症例について統計的観察を行なうとともに多少の文献的考察を加えたのでここに報告する。

267 cases of undescended testicle visited our clinic in 12 years-and 8-months between April, 1959 and December, 1971. The incidence among the outpatient was 1.3% or 13.4% among the pediatric outpatients blow 15 years. 79 cases occurred bilteraly and 188 cases were unilateral. 91 cases were on the right and 97 cases were on the left of the unilateral cases. 24% were abdominal and 76% were inguinal undescended testicle.
