Ⅰ．緒言

　先天性単腎症は，従来比較的稀有な泌尿器科的畸形とされていたが，現今，泌尿器科的諸検査の進歩に伴い，診断が容易となり，臨床上しばしば遭遇されている。

　この先天性単腎症は，発生学的に意義があり，従来，胎生期における腎尿管の発生上の関連性，その発生母地に密接する生殖器系，とくに，女子性器を形成するMüller氏管発生に影響を及ぼすとともに，他の臓器の畸形を伴つていることが多いといわれている。これらの点について，われわれは当教室島村^18）の5例の報告以来，現在まで8例計13例本症を経験したので，その概要を追加報告するとともに，文献的考察を若干加えたので報告する。

Thirteen cases (4 males, 9 females) of congenital solitary kidney were reported, and was studied in relation to the associated anomalies of the genitourinary system and other parts of the body.

Nine cases were on the right side and the others were on the left side.

Absence of the kidney was proved by systemic urological examination, especially by renal arterio-graphy in 10 cases and 3 cases were confirmed by exploration.
