LH-RH agonistによるhot flushに対する桂枝茯苓丸の有用性

Efficacy of Keishi-bukuryo-gan for hot flushes caused by treatment with luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone agonist

前立腺癌に対してLH-RH agonistを投与した患者のうち，hot flushを認めた16名を対象とし，桂枝茯苓丸7.5gを投与した。問診にてhot flushの持続時間と1日に症状の出現する頻度を観察した。年齢は平均69.0歳，病期はstage Bが6例，stage Cが7例，stage D2が3例であった。内分泌療法は，LH-RH agonist単独が4例，酢酸クロルマジノン併用例が4例，非ステロイド性抗アンドロゲン剤併用例が8例であった。桂枝茯苓丸によると思われる副作用は認めなかった。全16例中11例（69％）に症状の改善を認めた。LH-RH agonistによるhot flushに対する桂枝茯苓丸の投与は有用であると思われた。

There are few clinical investigations on the treatment of the hot flushes,the major side effect of endocrine therapy for prostate cancer patients. Clinical studies were conducted to examine efficacy of Keishi-bukuryo-gan（kampo-medicine）for hot flushes caused by treatment with luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone agonist. Between 1998 and 2004,Keishi-bukuryou-gan 2.5g three times a day was administered to a total of 16 patients with hot flushes. Treatment response was evaluated by subjective symptoms,and in 11 of 16 patients（68.8％）hot flushes improved after 4 weeks. Adverse effects were not ovserved in any patients. Keishi-bukuryou-gan is thought to be effective for treatment of hot flushes caused by treatment with luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone agonist.
