難治性顔面神経麻痺を呈した側頭骨軟骨肉腫の1症例

Chondrosarcoma of the Temporal Bone with Intractable Facial Palsy:A Case Report

　はじめに

　顔面神経麻痺は耳鼻咽喉科医が臨床の場でしばしば遭遇する症候であるが，今回われわれは難治性の顔面神経麻痺のみを症状とした，側頭骨軟骨肉腫の1例を経験したので若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

A 42-year-old woman was complaining of left facial palsy even after several kinds of treatment had been performed in other hospitals. Radiological examinations revealed an irregular mass shadow with bony destruction in the left temporal bone. The mass was histologically diagnosed as chondrosar-coma. It was removed by skull base surgery with transmastoid approach. Clinical manifestations and treatment methods of the temporal bone chon-drosarcoma were discussed.
