亜急性甲状腺炎で発見された異所性甲状腺の1例

Subacute Thyroiditis of Lingual Thyroid:Report of a Case

　はじめに

　異所性甲状腺は発生学的異常により生じるもので，その多くは正常甲状腺と同様に機能し無症状に経過するとされている。したがって，何らかの原因による腫大あるいは機能低下などの症状が発生したときや偶然の機会に発見されるに過ぎない。今回われわれは，亜急性甲状腺炎と推察される炎症により発見された異所性甲状腺の1例を経験した。異所性甲状腺の亜急性甲状腺炎は過去に報告がなく，若干の文献的考察を加え報告する。

Subacute thyroiditis of the lingual thyroid in a 16-year-old female is presented. She complained of severe sore throat, and a round hyperemic tumor was found at the center of base of the tongue. Enhanced CT demonstrated two high density masses in the lingual region and absence of normal thyroid gland. On the bases of 123I scintigram activity in these regions an ectopic thyroid gland was diagnosed. Subacute thryoiditis disappeared after several month of conservtive therapy.
