熊咬傷による顔面外傷の治療経験

A Case of Facial Injury by Bear Bite

はじめに

　最近，交通事故の増加とともに耳鼻咽喉科医が扱う顔面外傷も増加しており，その治療方法に関する報告が数多く見られる。また，ペットブームを反映して動物による顔面外傷の治療報告が，形成外科を中心にしてみられるようになった^1）。

　今回，われわれは野生熊咬傷による顔面外傷の1例を経験したので，その治療経過とともに動物による咬傷について若干の考察を加え報告する。

A 54-year-old male with compound face injury produced by bear bite was reported. The unclear wounds of face were washed with saline. The fructures of the maxillary bone were fixed by wiring. The skin and soft tissue of face were closed with 5-0 nylon sutures after carefully deb-riedment. In the case of facial injury by animal bite, it is important to take cares of respiration, bleeding, and to prevent infection, especially tetanus, and parasites infection.
