嗅神経芽細胞腫の2症例

Olfactory Neuroblastoma: Report of Two Cases

I．はじめに

　嗅神経芽細胞腫は比較的稀に発生する腫瘍^1）で，1924年のBergerら^2）による報告が最初である。症例として原著に報告された数は諸外国で約200症例，本邦では23症例^3〜17）である。本邦の報告によれば，諸外国と比較してその予後は不良^16）である。われわれは比較的早期に発見され現在までは良好な経過を示す嗅神経芽細胞腫の2症例を経験したので報告する。

Olfactory neuroblastoma is rather uncommon malignant tumor in the nasal cavity. Since the first report by Berger in 1924, about 200 cases in foreign countries, and 23 cases in Japan have been reported. We report two additional cases of a 47-year-old and a 45-year-old males. Chief complaints were unilateral nasal obstruction in common. Our choice of therapy was combined surgery and radiotherapy. The first case was fol-lowed for 16 months, and the second case for 3 years, without recurrence. All the reported cases in Japan were reviewed. Poor results reported in Japan could be due to the already advanced stage at the initial visit.
