要精査児受診結果による3歳児健診の有効性

Efficacy of third-phase detailed health-check program for three-year-old children

　過去6年間の3歳児健診の2次検診で眼精密検査が必要と判定され，3次検診を受けた135例を検討した。依頼内容の内訳は，視力精査109例，眼位異常20例，その他6例であった。視力精査依頼109例171眼では，2次検診時の矯正視力1.0未満が100例162眼（94.7％）にあり，そのうち治療により1.0以上の矯正視力が75眼（78.1％）で得られた。眼位異常で依頼された20例では，精密検査で10例（50％）に眼位異常があった。以上の結果は，当地域での3歳児健診が有効に機能していることを示している。

We reviewed 135 cases who were referred to us for detailed eye examinations after second-phase screen-ing in the health-check program for three-year-old children. The cause of referral comprised poor visual acuity 109 cases, abnormal eye position 20 cases and others 6 cases. In 171 eyes of 109 children, corrected visual acuity had heen 0.9 or less in 159 eyes (93%) of 100 children at the second-phase examination. The corrected visual acuity improved to 1.0 or over in 75 eyes (78.1%) following treatment. Out of 20 cases referred for abnormal eye position, actual eye position disorder was found in 10 cases (50%). These findings show that the health-check program is running effec-tively in this area.
