アレルギー性結膜疾患の季節変動

Seasonal variations in clinical manifestations of allergic conjunctivitis

　アレルギー性結膜疾患の発症，重症化は，原因となる抗原の患者を取り巻く環境における濃度や密度に大きく作用される。わが国では季節性アレルギー性結膜炎の原因としてはスギ花粉，イネ科植物花粉，雑草花粉が多くみられ，これらの花粉の季節に一致して症状の発現が起こる。通年性アレルギー性結膜炎や春季力ダルはダニ抗原と種々の花粉抗原で引き起こされる症例が多い。これらの花粉の飛散時期や，ダニの増殖時期に一致して症状が増悪するため，この時期に合わせて治療を行ったり強化したりする必要がある。

Incidence and exacerbation of allergic conjunctival diseases are dependent on the concentration ofcausative antigens in the environment. In Japan, most cases of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis are induced byallergic reaction to tree or grass pollen which are present in the environment during a limited period of the year.Perennial allergic conjunctivitis and vernal conjunctivitis also manifest seasonal variations because of seasonalchange in the concentration of mite antigens. Seasonal variations of these diseases need due consideration whentreating patients with allergic conjunctival diseases.
