　桐沢型ぶどう膜炎（急性網膜壊死）の14例15眼を対象とし電気生理学的所見と網膜剥離の発生，最終視力について比較検討した。ERGはa, b, op波とも障害され重症度を強く反映していたが，特にa波が悪い例では最終視力が不良であった。EOGも程度は様々であったが他のぶどう膜炎に比べて非常に低下していた。発症後3か月後のERG, EOGはともに不変もしくは軽度改善のみであり，本疾患の網膜の障害は不可逆的であることが示唆された。初期のERG, EOGが不良の例では網膜剥離や硝子体の牽引を生じたことから，早期の網膜剥離予防手術の決定の際，眼底所見，螢光眼底撮影と併せERG, EOG検査はその指標の1つとなると思われた。

We examined electroretinogram (ERG) and electrooculogram (EOG) in 14 patients of acute retinal necrosis syndrome. Eyes with retinal detach-ment showed low amplitudes in a and b waves in ERG. The base value of EOG was extremely reduced compared with other uveitis eyes. These findings seemed to indicate that the retinal necrosisinvolved retinal and choroidal vascular occlusions in addition to direct viral infection. Above patho-logical ERG and EOG findings hardly recovered, suggesting the irreversibility of retinal and cho-roidal lesions. The ERG and EOG findings were thus of value in evaluating the prognosis and in determining the timing of surgical intervention including prophylactic vitrectomy in this syndrome.
